Becoming Strength
In this deeply moving and inspiring true story, the author, Sharon, shares her harrowing journey through religious fanaticism, abuse, and ultimately, the discovery of hope amidst overwhelming heartache. Raised in a strict Christian family that imposed limiting beliefs on women, Sharon faced relentless obstacles as she struggled to break free from a mentally ill partner and to protect her two small children—all before the age of 25.
Set against the sobering backdrop of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, she found herself confronting homelessness and poverty, filled with the constant fear for her children’s safety. Yet, through sheer determination and a fierce love for her kids, she began the challenging yet transformative process of regaining her independence. With every tear shed and every setback faced, Sharon's journey illuminated a powerful truth: the essence of true religion lies in love, forgiveness, and personal healing.
Written with heartfelt honesty, her story serves as a testament to the strength within us all. It is a beacon of hope for anyone navigating life after divorce, healing from narcissistic relationships, and redefining their connection with God—liberated from the shackles of judgment and fear. In sharing her experiences, Sharon shows us that it’s never too late to reclaim a fulfilling life filled with love and resilience.

This is the best book I've read about spousal abuse and dysfunctional families. It also gives great insight into the judgemental, religious discrimination against single mothers. Ms Hart doesn't hold back on the raw truth on any level. She opened her heart and put herself on the line to do so. That's what it takes to make positive life changes and encourage others. Too many women stay in abusive marriages due to fear. The wisdom in this book proves that when you overcome fear, you Become Strength!

This book is well written and will pull at your heartstrings. It shows that just because you were raised a certain way doesn't mean you can't change for yourself and for future generations and break abusive cycles.
